What's the first thing to build on my base?
A wall. Drop a wall tile on every open side of your plot before claiming anything else — the wall-first rule buys you the 60 seconds you need to drop your first pet without a hostile raid wiping your start.
Which Egg should I roll first?
Egg Mystery — it's the only egg in the launch build and the source of every pet tier from Common to Secret. Use a code +Luck boost (VOLCANOO, WeHit30K, or Happy30K) before your first roll.
Is Build a Base and Steal pay-to-win?
No. The gamepasses speed progression but the core loop is fully playable without spending Robux. The 2x Cash, 2x Permanent Luck, and 4x Permanent Luck gamepasses are quality-of-life, not required unlocks.
Can I get raided while I'm AFK?
Yes — and this is the whole point of the loop. Placed pets keep producing cash while you're offline, but other players can raid your base. The [Private Server Risk](/en/guides/private-server-risk/) page explains the safest configuration.
How do I redeem Build a Base and Steal codes?
Open the game, head to the right-side Shop menu, look for the Codes textbox, paste the verified string, and confirm. Build a Base and Steal launched without a code system; the [UPD] mid-July patch added the redemption route.
Why is a code I saw on a YouTube video not working?
